Kye Lee is a fictional character created for Night World roleplay.

Kye is a friendly and mischievous Nagual, who can be found with either freshly baked treats to share or a book in his hands.
Though he is often quiet, he also strives to never be rude and will listen whenever someone needs it.
Kye is known to be loyal to his friends, often willing to do anything for them. Despite his new changes, and struggling with what that means, Kye is striving to stay the same or as much as he can.

Kye had always been a friendly but timid child, regularly seen hiding behind either his mother or older sister whenever they left the house. Despite this, he never forgot to wave or say hi to anyone he passed, hoping to make their day
However, because of Kye's naturally bubbly and kind personality and willingness to set his nerves and fear aside whenever someone needed help, he ended up with many acquaintances and close friends throughout his early years.

Even throughout high school, being surrounded by people from not only his town but the other neighboring ones, Kye never really got over his shyness, often blushing or stuttering, and even becoming completely quiet around new or large groups of people, but determined not to let this stop him, he joined the theature club aswell as the cooking and running clubs, making friedns in each. All of them helping him with his shyness outside of his pashions.

Despite having lots of Friends and never being short on invitations to go out, Kye's favorite thing to do was always to sit in his room with a warm blanket and one of his books. He would gladly spend hours and hours curled up on his bed, getting lost in all the adventures these stories offered him. Even when teased by others for it, he never minded because in these faraway worlds, he didn't have to be timid or quiet, he could be a part of the story while staying safe in his own little corner.

On Kye's 18th birthday, everything changed as one of his closest friends, Jay, made a mistake and was put into terrible danger with the town's local gang. When he learned what was happening, it terrified Kye, but he knew he had to do everything and anything he could to save him. This led to him going to the forest's local white witch, hoping she would be able to give him the best chance possible to save Jay, and she did by turning him into a familiar

Now a shika familiar, Kye was able to use his newfound abilities to save Jay before he could lose his life. His decision and willingness to help out a friend came at a price, his family. His beloved sister and mother were mortified when they learned he had given up his humanity and told him to leave and never contact them again, going as far as to say that their son/brother had died when very young, with nowhere else to go, Kye left the only home he ever knew.
At 18 with no home, no family, and changed forever, Kye would spend the next few weeks staying with various friedns for a few days and even staying with his white witch for a few months learning more about the world he was now a part of, but he couldnt take the pain of being there anymore, so he made the decison to move to a new city with plenty of forests, after traveling for a few years, and even got a job at one of the local libraries and decided that he would do make the best of his new life, promising to himself to help anyone, who needed it no matter the issue.

For a long time, Kye had been happy where he now lived, he had made a home here and was surrounded by lots of people he had felt closer to than even his hometown, but he found himself feeling lost, he fought with himself for a while before finally making the descion to leave, even tgough he loved it there, he was still hurt by his family and needed to figure out ho he was without them and all that hurt.choosing to travel to places he hadn't been before, Kye would eventually meet a dark witch who then became enamored with him and wanted the young man to stay by their side, decided to trap them and turn them from a shika to a nagual, having planned on keeping him, kye, emotional from the change and upset found a way to brake out and get away, and not wanting to give them a chance to find him again Kye made his way back home, feeli g both eager to be back and nervous on what his friends would think of his new designation

Kye had been born wth health problems, most of which went away when he was turned into a familiar, but he noticed that some of the more serious ones stayed, only getting slightly better. This was the cause for his mother teaching him to cook/bake, and his sister getting him into reading, both independently, hoping this would give him things to look forward to on days he couldn't go out or was too sick to get out of bed.
